General Tips: The Butchers and Their important role in Preparing Meat for the End users

Who is a butcher: According to the English dictionary, a butcher is someone or anyone who is a professional in the sl@ughter of animals, preparation of the animal before it is used for food. So basically, everyone who eats a meat needs the services of a butcher. Just like every other workers with offices, the office of the butcher is the abattoir, so if you are looking for a butcher you can find one in your local abattoir.

Role of a butcher in Sl@ughtering Animal

 We all know that it is impractical and obviously impossible to place a full grown cow, goat, or dog meat inside a pot without first sl@ughtering the animal. So the butcher plays a very vital role in sl@ughtering the animal, bringing them to sizes that can fit into your pot or that will be very comfortable for you when cooking. The butcher should not be mistaken for someone who rears an animal, while it is true that a butcher can be someone who rears an animal and vice versa, it is also good to note that both occupations are different though somehow similar.

Role of butcher when preparing the animal

If you have been to an abattoirl or seen where a butcher is sl@ughtering an animal, you will likely understand that the first phase after the sl@ughtering not always the concluding part or the finishing phase of the preparation. The animal hairs have to be cleaned, the meat has to be cooked and then cut into different smaller sizes and pieces (a comprehensive post about the butcher and meat will be coming up soon). After sl@ughtering the animal, the animal is washed, scrubbed, cooked and then sliced, the above methods are the mode of preparing the meat.

Role of butcher when bringing the meat to the end users

Most times, the butchers carry the meat to a meeting point (market, superstores, malls etc) and here the end users go and buy the quantity of meat they need. At this phase, the meat has been neatly prepared, cooked and sliced to a very good condition that makes it easier for the end user to be able to use the meat with ease.

So when next you are eating a meat, know that it has passed through rigorous means to get to where you are now using or eating it. If you love eating meats, then you should appreciate a butcher every time you see one.

  1. This is the journey of meat.have been to an abattoir couple of times and this post is on point, at least most of what it said is true but a butcher don't clean or cook meat, they have other people that does that job
