Health Tips-Eating Healthy: Importance of Drinking plenty of water
In climates such as in Nigeria,Ghana,Guinea,Borkina Faso,Ethiopia,Dr Congo, we should drink about 8 to 10 glasses (1.8 litres) of water, or other fluids(juice), every day to stop us getting dehydrated.
In climates such as in the UK, we should drink about 6 to 8 glasses (1.2 litres) of water, or other fluids, every day to stop us getting dehydrated.
Please Note that alcohol is not included in the category of fluids that one should consume, and also note that When the weather is warm or when we get active(working, doing exercise or engaging in any physical activity), our bodies need more than the above water.
Aside from alcohol, also try to avoid drinking soft and fizzy drinks that are high in added sugar. While it is true that this article discourages the drinking of alcohol, it is also good to note that There is nothing wrong with the occasional drinking of Alcohol. But drinking tooof Alcohol can cause problems. It has been obsereved that Alcohol is also high in calories, so limiting the drinking of alcohol could help you control your weight.
It is advisable that Women drink up to 2 to 3 units of alcohol a day and men up to 3 to 4 units a day, without any significant risk to their health.
For good health, it’s a good idea to spread your drinking(alcohol) throughout the week and avoid binge drinking.
Drinking heavy alcohol over a long period of time can damage the liver.
So to stay hydrated and keep yourself juicy so to speak, you need enough water and less alcohol and other soft and fizzy drinks that are high in added sugar or drinks with calories.
