The Abacha
This is the type of food that is popularly cooked and eaten
by the Igbo tribe in Nigeria. This food is prepared from cassava food (Manihot esculenta), and it is best enjoyed with a cold soft drink or bottled water. Although
preparation of this food varies from one Igbo land to another, the ingredient
for preparing this food is almost if not the same around all the Igbo land. According
to the Igbo tribe, preparing this food is very simple but yet technical. For a
certainty, as at the time of this post we don’t have all the complete idea as
to how this food is prepared but e sure have idea about what can be use or what
is needed for the preparation of this meal. For a start, you need cassava, palm
oil, knife to slice the cassava, think these are the most important ingredient

The Ewedu
Ewedu is food that is enjoyed among the Yourba tribe of Nigeria,
actually this food is not best enjoyed with cold drinks or bottled water, it’s
best enjoyed with solid Amala (yam flouir). Unlike Abacha, Ewedu is a type of
soup that is peculiar to the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. This soup is prepared
with a leaf known in Nigeria as the Ewedu Leaf, although as at the time of this
post we don’t have the right knowledge as to how this food is prepared, but
what we do know is that, this soup coupled with the Amala (Yam Flour) is very
delicious. According to local source, this Ewedu leaf is very light and does
not require hard or rash handle as this will completely destroy the leaf. So to
pound this leaf one has to use a mild and soft method, like using the Broom or
something lighter in weight. The Ewedu soup is so popular that its echoes
spread across the southern part of Nigeria.
The Edikaikong
Next on our list is the Edidiako soup of the Calabar tribe
of Nigeria. While it is true that the Calabar are popularly known for the
eating of dogs as meat, this soup has also added to the popularity of the Ealabar
tribe. So when visiting Calabar state in Nigeria, you should have two things in
mind, eating dog as a meat and tasting the well prepared Edikiako soup. The Edikiako
soup is prepared with many PERIWINKLE, stock fish, and Fresh fish and if there
is a meat it’s definitely the dog meat. This soup is very popular that it’s
well known and eaten by some western and southern citizen of Nigeria.
The above food and soups are cooked and prepared by the
Igbo, Yoruba, and Calabar tribe of Nigeria respectively. So, whenever you visit
